LCP House Cleaning update

Hey gang, long needed update to LCP, trying to make things cleaner and clearer, breaking my personal rule of "no lcp updates until i do a huge one" because it seems fresh eyes are much better at spotting issues! 
Gonna be trying to get better at consistently getting to these things in the future hopefully!
